1.4 Relationship to Other Protocols

The .NET Packet Routing Protocol uses any network transport capable of transmitting SOAP 1.1 messages [SOAP1.1] or SOAP 1.2 messages [SOAP1.2-1/2007]. The following figure shows the different layers in a router's stack. At the bottom of the stack is the actual physical communication medium.
