The Unused Open Search Timer (section 3.3.2.3), if implemented, SHOULD periodically trigger a scan of all open searches in existing active SMB connections and SHOULD close those open searches on which no search operations have been issued in the preceding time period specified by the value of the Server.SrvSearchMaxTimeout abstract data model element (section 3.3.1.1).
