In this example, user policy settings are being updated for the GPO with the DN of " CN={31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9},CN=Policies,CN=System ,DC=test,DC=contoso,DC=com".

The following operations are involved:

  • Open for the file: \\GPSvr1.test.contoso.com \sysvol\test.contoso.com\Policies\{31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9}\gpt.ini

  • Write "65537" as the value corresponding to key, "Version".

  • Close for the opened file.
