4.1 General MSB Sequence

 The following diagram shows a typical communication sequence between a client and server.

  1. The client retrieves an .nsc file (as specified in section 2.2.1) by some means, such as by retrieving the file from a URL or through an email attachment.

  2. The server (optionally) transmits Beacon packets prior to transmission of MSB packets.

  3. The server sends one or more MSB packets.

  4. If the Log URL property is specified in the .nsc file, the client submits a logging message at the end of the stream. (For more information, see sections 3.2.5.4 and 3.2.7.1).

  5. The server transmits Beacon packets if it intends to transmit future MSB packets and if it wants the client to remain ready to receive the MSB packets.
