Upon receipt of the CONVERT_DEVMODE_REQ request, the client MUST invoke the printer driver to acquire its current DEVMODE. The contents of the DevmodeIn are ignored, and the result is stored in DevmodeOut. The field cbProvided MUST be used to identify how much data to return in the OutputBuffer field in the response.
