1.3.2 Client Bootstrapping
Client bootstrapping is a set of initialization steps that clients complete before moving on to either offline publishing or licensing. Client bootstrapping is not a prerequisite for online publishing. During client boostrapping, the machine is activated and the user is certified for use in the RMS system. This involves various key/certificate generations and exchanges as explained in section 126.96.36.199.
Client bootstrapping involves the following request and response methods: Activate, Certify, FindServiceLocationsForUser, and GetClientLicensorCert.
