3.4 ServerSoap (GetLicensorCertificate) Server Details

The ServerSoap port type for GetLicensorCertificate is used to obtain licensor certificates.

When an RMS server becomes a subordinate of another RMS server, it does not issue its own RMS Account Certificates (RACs); instead, it trusts RACs issued by the root RMS server.<22> To trust RACs issued by the root RMS server, the subordinate RMS server needs to know the public key of the root RMS server, which is contained in the root RMS server's SLC.

A subordinate RMS server uses the ServerSoap (GetLicensorCertificate) port type to acquire the root RMS server's SLC chain. The ServerSoap (GetLicensorCertificate) port type provides one operation: GetLicensorCertificate.
