2.2.4.5.1 Client Request Extensions

All fields are defined as specified in [MS-CIFS] section 2.2.4.52.1. In order to support the extension in this document, the client MUST include the NT LAN Manager dialect (identified by the "NT LM 0.12" dialect string) in the SMB_Data.Bytes.Dialects[] array of the request.

When set, the SMB_Header.Flags2 SMB_FLAGS2_EXTENDED_SECURITY flag indicates support for specification [RFC2743] and GSS authentication (see section 3.1.5.1), and indicates to the server that it sends an Extended Security response (see section 2.2.4.5.2).
