The SMTP AUTH Extension for SPNEGO introduces no new versioning mechanisms.

Negotiation of SMTP options is specified in [RFC5321] sections 2.2 and 3.2. Negotiation of authentication mechanisms using SASL mechanism names is specified by [RFC2554]. Negotiation of GSS-API mechanisms is specified by [MS-SPNG].
