3.2.5.2 Receiving an IAC WILL AUTHENTICATION Command
Expected AUTH_STATE: will_authenticate_not_received
On receiving the IAC WILL AUTHENTICATION command from the client, the server MUST send a SEND command to the client and set AUTH_STATE to send_command_sent. The server MUST set the fields of the SEND command message as follows:
AuthenticationType set to 0x0F (NTLM).
Modifier set to 0x00.
The IAC WILL AUTHENTICATION command is specified in [RFC2941]. This document specifies the response that a server makes in the context of the Telnet: NTLM Authentication Protocol only. Details about how to handle an out-of-sequence IAC WILL AUTHENTICATION command are specified in [RFC855] and [RFC2941].
