The CA server uses a CRL retrieval timer to ensure that the response time from the server hosting CRLs does not exceed 15 seconds. The CRL retrieval timer is specified per CRL retrieval request and is used in the processing steps for obtaining a CRL, as specified in section 3.2.1.4.1.3.
