Create, suspend, or cancel customer subscriptions

After you've created a record of your customer in the Partner Dashboard, you can sell them subscriptions to products in the catalog.
Note that some offers are limited to one subscription per customer. To see a list of which offers are restricted, visit the Partner Dashboard Pricing and Offers page.
Create a new subscription
From the Dashboard menu, select Customers, then choose a customer from the list.
Select New subscription.
Select the type of subscription billing you want to use. See FAQ about new billing features for information that will help you decide between the monthly and annual billing frequency.
You now have the option of offering your customer a free trial for certain products. Products available for trial will be under the trial tab in the catalog. See Offer your customers trials of Microsoft products.
After selecting the billing frequency, select the products you want subscriptions for in the Catalog. The availability of products depends on the type of customer (education, government, etc.) and the billing frequency you have selected. If a product is not available, the customer may already have a subscription to that product and is only allowed one. Or, you may have suspended the subscription in which case, you can reactivate it rather than purchasing a new one.
Check the subscription you want to add and enter the number of licenses. Then Submit the order.
After the subscription is added, open it by clicking the subscription name in the subscriptions list. On this edit page, you can select add-on licenses, if any are available.
On the edit page you can also change the quantity of licenses, or suspend the subscription.
Suspend or cancel a subscription
Partners can suspend or cancel a subscription if requested by the customer, or in cases of nonpayment or fraud.
When you change the status of a subscription to Suspended, users are not able to sign in or access services. Administrators can still sign in and access data.
Suspend a subscription
- From the Dashboard menu, select Customers, then choose a customer from the list.
- Choose the subscription you want to manage.
- In the Status section, choose Suspended. Then Submit your changes.
- All data will be deleted unless the subscription is reactivated within 90 days, or 90 days plus the number of days between the time the account was opened and the first billing period (maximum 120 days).
When you suspend a subscription, the date you see below the Suspended button indicates when the subscription would automatically expire if you don't reactivate it.
