AzureInformationProtection

The following list contains links to the help topics for the Microsoft Azure Information Protection (AIP) cmdlets, which are installed with the Azure Information Protection client. This PowerShell module replaces the RMS Protection Tool and the AD RMS Bulk Protection Tool.

These cmdlets can be used with the Azure Information Protection service, the Azure Rights Management service (Azure RMS), and Active Directory Rights Management Services (AD RMS).

The current general availability version of the AzureInformationProtection module is 1.10.56.0. You might have a later version if you have installed a preview version. To check the version that you have installed, run the following command: (Get-Module AzureInformationProtection -ListAvailable).Version.

Clears the user settings and RMS templates for the current user.

Clears credentials for a user who is authenticated to the Azure RMS service.

Sets or removes an Azure Information Protection label for a file, and sets the protection according to the label configuration.

Sets the server mode, which is required for non-interactive sessions.

Unprotect-RMSFile

Unprotects a file that is currently protected by RMS.
