File name <name> cannot contain character device names.

This error generally occurs when a file name is entered which is actually a character device name. Character device names include, but are not limited to, CON, PRN, AUX, CLOCK$, NUL, LPT1, LPT2, COM1, COM2, COM3, and COM4.

To correct this error

  1. Enter a different file name.
