NOTE: The ID3DXPMesh and ID3DXSPMesh interfaces are now obsolete and will be removed in a future release.

ID3DXSPMesh::GetVertexWeights

Retrieves the per-vertex weights used to create the ID3DXSPMesh object.

  HRESULT
  GetVertexWeights(
  FLOAT * pVertexWeights
);

Parameters

  • pVertexWeights
    [in, out] Array of floats that will be filled with vertex weights. Each float contains one vertex. The array should be large enough to handle the maximum number of vertices in the original ID3DXMesh (which was used to create the simplification mesh).

Return Values

If the method succeeds, the return value is D3D_OK. If the method fails, the return value can be one of the following: D3DERR_INVALIDCALL, E_OUTOFMEMORY.

Requirements

Header: Declared in D3DX9Mesh.h.

Library: Use D3dx9.lib.
