InstalledApplicationFilters Property of the IFPCEEServer Interface
The InstalledApplicationFilters property gets an FPCRefs collection that contains references to the FPCApplicationFilter objects defining the application filters installed on the server.
C++
HRESULT get_InstalledApplicationFilters(
IFPCRefs** ppRefs
);
Parameters
- ppRefs
Address of a variable that receives a pointer to an IFPCRefs interface that represents the collection of references to the application filters installed on the server.
Return Value
This property method returns S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, it returns an error code.
Visual Basic
Property InstalledApplicationFilters As FPCRefs
Property Value
Reference to the FPCRefs collection that contains references to the application filters installed on the server.
Remarks
This property is read-only. A reference to an application filter can be added by calling the Add method of the FPCRefs collection retrieved (the Add method of the IFPCRefs interface retrieved in C++) and specifying the application filter's globally unique identifier (GUID) in the Name parameter, and a reference can be removed by calling the RemoveSpecified method and specifying the application filter's GUID in the Name parameter.
In deployments with multiple Forefront TMG servers, only the application filters that are installed on a Forefront TMG computer, included in the FPCApplicationFilters collection for its array, and referenced in its InstalledApplicationFilters property are registered as installed extensions of the Microsoft Firewall service on that computer. When the Add method is called to register an application filter in an array, a reference to the new FPCApplicationFilter object is automatically added to this property of the local Forefront TMG computer.
After the collection of references has been modified, the changes must be written to persistent storage by calling the Save method, and the Microsoft Firewall service must be restarted for the changes to take effect.
