Configure the Microsoft Dynamics AX reporting extensions for SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

To set up reports for Microsoft Dynamics AX with SQL Server Reporting Services, complete the following tasks:

1. Become familiar with Reporting Services. Review the Overview of Reporting Services topic and the Reporting Services documentation.

2. Install the Reporting Services extensions.

3. Register your Reporting Services server.

4. Specify the default Reporting Services server.

5. To enable users to create ad hoc reports using Report Builder (a component of Reporting Services), do the following:

   • Create report perspectives.

   • Generate and publish report models.

6. Configure security settings for reports.
