Troubleshoot organization import and upgrade issues

To troubleshoot issues that occur during organization import and upgrade:

  • Make sure that the user account that is running the import has administrative permissions for the instance of SQL Server. For more information about how to grant permissions, see the SQL Server documentation.

  • View the DMSnapin log file located in the following folder: <drive:>%appdata%\Microsoft\MSCRM\Logs.
