How to: Add Resource Capacity

You may regularly need to increase the capacity of resources, such as technicians, over time.

To add resource capacity

  1. In the Search box, enter Resource Card, and then choose the related link.

  2. On the Navigate tab, in the Planning group, choose Resource Capacity. The Resource Capacity window opens.

  3. Select the resource to which you want to add capacity.

  4. On the Resource Capacity Matrix toolbar, on the Planning menu, choose Set Capacity. The Resource Capacity Settings window for the selected resource opens.

  5. In the Starting Date and Ending Date fields, define the time period for which you want to add capacity.

  6. In the Work-Hour Template field, select the relevant template.

  7. In the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday fields, you can change the template work hours.

  8. On the Actions tab, choose Add Capacity to add the capacity. Choose the OK button.

Repeat these steps for each resource to which you want to add capacity.
