The Bing Maps Silverlight Control makes some functionality available through JavaScript. This section describes how to use JavaScript and the available scriptable Bing Maps Silverlight Control types to incorporate mapping functionality into your Web application.

Note

You can display a simple map on your Web page using the embedded map feature described in the Embedding a Map into Your Web Page topic.

If you want the full functionality of the Bing Maps Silverlight Control, then you need to create a Silverlight application that loads the Bing Maps Silverlight Control. This is described in the Creating a Basic Application Using the Silverlight Map Control topic
