IHTMLMSPerformanceTimingMeasures::connect Property

Measures the time required to establish a Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) connection to the server hosting the document that is loaded into the window object.

Syntax

HRESULT IHTMLMSPerformanceTimingMeasures::get_connect(ULONGLONG *p);

Parameters

  • p
    The time required to establish a connection to the server or 0 if the page failed to load.

Return Value

Returns S_OK if successful, or an error value otherwise.

Remarks

When you evaluate the value of the IHTMLMSPerformanceTimingMeasures::connect property, make sure that the document has fully loaded; otherwise, the property might return a value of zero (0).

The time measured by the IHTMLMSPerformanceTimingMeasures::connect property is the difference between the IHTMLMSPerformanceTiming::connectStart and the IHTMLMSPerformanceTiming::connectEnd properties of the window.msPerformance.timing property.
