View the Data that is sent to System Center Advisor

You can view but not change the data collected by System Center Advisor before it is uploaded to the Web service. This can give you insight into the type of data that is collected (and what is not collected, such as confidential company information).

To view data before it is uploaded

  1. On the computer where you installed the gateway, open a command line window.

  2. Change to the %programfiles%/SystemCenterAdvisor/GatewayData/Mailboxes/<agentGUID>/FromAgent directory.

  3. Use the expand.exe command to extract the XML files from the .cab file.

  4. Open the XML files in an XML editor.
