Show or hide currency symbols in data tips and the legend

When importing or linking to source data containing columns or fields formatted as currency, MapPoint assumes that those fields refer to the local currency you've set in your Regional Settings in Windows.

To show currency symbols

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.

  2. Under Data maps, select the Show currency symbols check box.

    Your data appears with the currency symbols specified in your source file.

  3. Click OK.

To hide currency symbols

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.

  2. Clear the Show currency symbols check box.

    Your data appears as numeric characters only, without a currency symbol.

  3. Click OK.

Note  To show currency symbols in data tips, the columns or fields containing currency information in your source data must be formatted as Currency.
