View Events and Errors in Event Viewer

For this procedure, you can use Event Viewer in Windows Server 2008 to view selected event information for Microsoft® Forefront Identity Manager (FIM) 2010 R2. To perform this procedure, you must be logged on with an account with event viewer rights.

To view events and errors in Event Viewer

  1. Click Start, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Event Viewer.

  2. In the console tree, click the Application log.

  3. To view details about an event, double-click the event you want to view.

Note

FIM events and errors have a source ID, FIMSynchronizationService. For more information about Event Viewer, see Event Viewer Help.
