The IDirectDraw4::Compact method is not currently implemented.

HRESULT Compact();

Return Values

If the method succeeds, the return value is DD_OK.

If the method fails, the return value may be one of the following error values:

DDERR_INVALIDOBJECT
DDERR_INVALIDPARAMS
DDERR_NOEXCLUSIVEMODE
DDERR_SURFACEBUSY

Remarks

This method moves all of the pieces of surface memory on the display card to a contiguous block to make the largest single amount of free memory available. This call fails if any operations are in progress.

The application calling this method must have its cooperative level set to exclusive.

Runs on Versions Declared in Link to
Windows CE OS 2.12 or later. Version 2.12 requires DXPAK 1.0 or later. ddraw.h ddraw.lib
