CRMQuote.Create Method

The Create method creates a quote.

Syntax

[Visual Basic .NET]
Public Function Create(
  ByVal Caller As CUserAuth,
  ByVal QuoteXml As String
) As String
[C#]
public string Create(
  CUserAuth  Caller,
  string  QuoteXml
);
[C++]
public: String* Create(
  CUserAuth*  Caller,
  String*  QuoteXml
);

Parameters

Caller

Specifies the identity of the caller. To perform this action, the caller must have the prvCreateQuote privilege. See Remarks for more information about privileges for this method. See CUserAuth.

QuoteXml

Specifies an XML string representing the quote. The XML schema is described by quote.xsd. See Remarks for more information about privileges for this method.

Return Value

Remarks

The ownerid field in the QuoteXml parameter has additional security requirements, which must be met for this method to succeed. The user who is specified in the ownerid field must have APPENDTO privileges on the account or the contract that is specified in the customerid field.

If there is an error, SOAP throws an exception and the error message is reported in System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException.Detail.OuterXml.

All IDs passed to the platform are GUIDs wrapped in braces. For example: {6522D89A-A752-4455-A2B0-51494C6957C3}
