WMRMLicGen.AddContentRevocation

The AddContentRevocation method is used to add a content revocation string to licenses. This string is based on a content packager's signing keys and enables the content owner to disable licenses for their own packaged files on any computer that receives a license with this string.

Syntax

WMRMLicGen.AddContentRevocation(ContentRevocationString)

Parameters

ContentRevocationString

[in] String containing the content revocation string.

Return Values

This method does not return a value. If the method fails, it returns a number in the error object.

Return code Description
0x80048003 Object initialization error.
0x80048001 The input parameter is required.
0x80048004 Internal error.

Remarks

The content revocation string is generated by the content packager by using the WMRMTools.GenerateContentRevocation method. This XML string is then shared with the license issuer (for example, on a floppy disk or in an e-mail message). When a license is issued to a consumer with a content revocation string, all licenses for the content owner's packaged files are disabled on the consumer's computer.
