Setting Scope for the Root Category

You can add domains of users, user groups, and federated user groups to the scope of the root category. The following procedures describe how to add domains and user groups (internal or federated).

To add a domain to the scope of the root category

  1. On the File menu, click Manage Users.

  2. On the File menu, click Add an Active Directory Domain.

  3. In Domains , click the name of the domain you want to add, and then click OK.

To add an Active Directory user group to the scope of the root category

  1. On the File menu, click Manage Users.

  2. On the File menu, click Add an Active Directory Group.

  3. In the Add Group to Root Scope dialog box, in the Search For box, type the name or part of the name of the group you want to add, and then click Search.

  4. In the list of names that match your query, click the group you want to add, and then click OK.
