Specifies the Enterprise Voice policy that is globally enforced for users participating in a Unified Communications session.

Enterprise Voice policies enable you to control the types of calls that a user or group of users are allowed to make. The global Enterprise Voice policy is applied to all users in an organization when the UsePerUserUCPolicy property for this class is set to False. The Global Enterprise Voice policy is configured on a forest-wide basis.

The property values for the MSFT_SIPGlobalUCSetting class map to the Global value setting found on the Policy tab of the Office Communications Server Voice Properties dialog box. You can access these values in the Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Administration Tool by right-clicking Forest in the console tree, pointing to Properties, and then clicking Voice Properties.

The mapping between the properties sheet and the WMI properties is shown in the illustration below:

The following syntax is simplified from Managed Object Format (MOF) code and includes all inherited properties. Properties are listed in alphabetic order, not MOF order.

class MSFT_SIPGlobalUCSetting
  [key] string InstanceID;
  string UCPolicy;
  boolean UsePerUserUCPolicy;

This class does not define any methods.

The MSFT_SIPGlobalUCSetting class has the following properties.

  • InstanceID
    Data type: [key] string

    Access type: Read-only

    Required. A GUID value that uniquely identifies an instance of this class. The InstanceID does not appear in the Administration Tool.

    The GUID must be encapsulated between the "{" and "}" braces; for example: "{01234567-0123-4567-89AB-CDEF01234567}".

  • UCPolicy
    Data type: string

    Access type: Read/Write

    Required. Specifies the distinguished name of the global Unified Communications (UC) policy. Maps to the policy that was last selected in the Global policy box in the Administration Tool user interface.

    The policy specified by this property is enforced for all users when the UsePerUserUCPolicy property is set to False. The default voice policy for a deployment is then applied to all users if this policy is deleted.

    The value of this property is not case-sensitive.

  • UsePerUserUCPolicy
    Data type: boolean

    Access type: Read/Write

    Required. Specifies whether to apply UC policies individually to users or groups of users instead of applying the global policy to all users. Maps to the Global policy box in the Administration Tool user interface. This property is set to True when Use per user policy is selected the Global policy box. It is set to False when a policy is selected in the Global policy box.

    When this property value is False, the global UC policy specified by UCPolicy is applied to all users. When this property value is True, UC policies may be assigned individually to users or groups of users. The default policy is applied to any user not assigned a UC policy or when an assigned policy is deleted.

    The default value is False.

This class gets and sets information at the following level: Active Directory.

Only one instance of this class can be present in the forest.

Instances of this class support the following interface methods:

  • Provider::EnumerateInstances();

  • Provider::GetObject();

  • Provider::PutInstance();

    Where PutInstance() supports the following flag:

Server: Installed on computers serving the following roles: Administrative Tools Server and Front End Server.

Namespace: Defined in \root\cimv2.
