TestAttachRead() procedure should be called before the event procedure can be called by Microsoft Outlook. For this example to run, there has to be at least one item in the Inbox with subject as 'Test' and containing at least one attachment.
Public WithEvents myItem As outlook.MailItem Public olApp As New Outlook.Application Private Sub myItem_AttachmentRead(ByVal myAttachment As Outlook.Attachment) If myAttachment.Type = olByValue Then MsgBox "If you change this file, also save your changes to the original file."
