Headers Used in Groove Web Services

Groove Web Services Version 2.0 has a request header and a response header. The GrooveRequestHeader type provides the Groove Identity URL and the Request key value. Groove compares the Request key value to values set in the Window user's registry settings. If the values match, Groove executes the call; otherwise, Groove returns a SOAP exception.

The GrooveResponseHeader type provides a mechanism for a local SOAP client to ensure that it is communicating with the Groove process. It also allows the local SOAP client to protect itself from communicating confidential data to another process that is running on another Windows account on the system.
