The Microsoft® Exchange Server Analyzer Tool queries the CIM_Datafile Microsoft Windows® Management Instrumentation (WMI) class to determine the value of the Version key for several core Exchange binary files:
Gapi32.dll (checked in both the System32 folder and the \Exchsrvr\bin folder)
Mapi32.dll (checked in both the System32 folder and the \Exchsrvr\bin folder)
If the Exchange Server Analyzer finds the Version value for any of the files to be more than the Exchange Server Version value, a warning is displayed. A later version number indicates that a file is newer than what was expected. This can occur if a hotfix was installed.
To resolve this warning
- There is no action that needs to be taken. The warning only indicates the presence of newer files, which are probably the result of the installation of a hotfix or other update.
