Log files cannot be replayed. Dismount all databases running in Recovery Storage Group, then manually restart log replay with Eseutil /cc from the temporary restore location.

Explanation

This Error event indicates that transaction logs cannot be restored to a newly restored database because there is another database in the Recovery Storage Group that is already mounted and running. This event may only be encountered in instances where there has been a sequential restore of the databases to the Recovery Storage Group and only one of the databases was mounted after the restore.

User Action

To resolve this error, do the following:

  1. Dismount all the databases currently running in the Recovery Storage Group.

  2. Manually restart the transaction log replay by running eseutil /cc from the temporary restore location.

Note   The temporary restore location refers to the path of the restore.env file which is Eseutil /cc < path of folder containing restore.env>.
