Sends a request to the content distributor.

Syntax

Ping-SPEnterpriseSearchContentService [-HostName] <String>

Detailed Description

Use the Ping-SPEnterpriseSearchContentService cmdlet to send a request to the content distributor to determine whether the content distributor is available.

Parameters

HostName	Required	System.String	Specifies the name of the host server for the search service. The type must be a valid fully qualified FAST Server host name; for example, FASTServerHost1.mydomain.com; or a host name and port number, for example, FastServerHost1.mydomain.com::16100
