Surface Area Configuration for Services and Connections (Remote Connections) - Analysis Services

In Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition, Developer Edition, and Evaluation Edition, remote connections are disabled by default. In other editions, remote connections are enabled by default. Use this dialog to enable or disable remote connections.

Enabling remote connections for Analysis Services opens a TCP/IP port on the server. Enable remote connections only if you want to allow connections from remote computers.
