How to: Enable or Disable Resource Governor (SSMS)

You enable or disable Resource Governor by using SQL Server Management Studio. 

Note

When Resource Governor is first installed, it is disabled by default.

Use the following steps to enable or disable Resource Governor.

You can also enable or disable Resource Governor using the Resource Governor Properties page. For more information, see Resource Governor Properties F1 Help.

To enable Resource Governor

  1. In Object Explorer, recursively expand the Management node down to and including Resource Governor.

  2. Right-click Resource Governor, and then click Enable.

To disable Resource Governor

  1. In Object Explorer, recursively expand the Management node down to and including Resource Governor.

  2. Right-click Resource Governor, and then click Disable.
