Gets or sets the type of backup to be performed.

Property Value

Type: Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.BackupActionType
A BackupActionType object representing the type of backup to be performed. By default the value is set to Database.

Remarks

Microsoft SQL Server can back up an entire database, that portion of a database changed after the last backup, one or more operating system files containing table or index data, or the transaction log of a database.

The value of the Action property determines applicability and interpretation of related Backup object properties.
