How to: Display the Object Explorer Details Page
When an item is selected in Object Explorer, SQL Server Management Studio presents information about that object in a document window called the Object Explorer Details page. You can configure SQL Server Management Studio to display the Object Explorer Details page automatically when Management Studio starts, or not display the **Object Explorer Details **page to save time.
The Object Explorer Details pagedisplays information about the currently selected node of Object Explorer. When in list mode, the Object Explorer Details page can show information about higher nodes by clicking the Up button, and lower nodes by double-clicking an element.
You can display the Object Explorer Details page when Management Studio opens. The Object Explorer Details page can also be displayed at any time by selecting Object Explore Details on the View menu, or by pressing F7.
To display the Object Explorer Details page when Management Studio opens
On the View menu, click Object Explorer Details.
