Applies To: System Center Configuration Manager 2007, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP1, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2
When configuring a Configuration Manager 2007 client computer for Internet or intranet management, it must not be configured for Internet-only management and it must be configured with the Internet fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of its Internet-based management point.
To configure client computers for Internet or intranet management
Install the client computer without the CCMSetup.exe client.msi property CCMALWAYSINF=1 for Internet-only management.
Assign the client computer to its Internet-based management point, using one of the following methods:
Specify the Internet-based management point on the Internet tab of Configuration Manager from the Control Panel of the client computer.
Use the CCMSetup.exe client.msi property CCMHOSTNAME = [FQDN of the Internet-based management point].
For more information about these methods, see How to Assign Configuration Manager Client Computers to the Internet-Based Management Point.
