Site Settings Property Pages

Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 site settings are used to configure primary and secondary sites. For secondary sites, some options are not available (for example, any settings for connecting to the site database and configuring the site mode). Most settings in the Site Settings node are onetime configurations.

  • Accounts Properties
    Allows you to view all the accounts configured in the Configuration Manager 2007 console and configure the passwords Configuration Manager 2007 should use when accessing the account.
  • Address Properties
    Configures options for how Configuration Manager 2007 transfers data between two sites in a site hierarchy, such as how much bandwidth to use, when to use the sender address for Configuration Manager 2007 data, and which accounts to use when connecting to the other site.
  • Boundary Properties
    Configures the IP subnets, IP address ranges, and Active Directory sites used by Configuration Manager 2007 to determine which computers can be managed by this Configuration Manager 2007 site.
  • Certificates Properties
    Allows you to view and block the certificates used by operating system deployment PXE service points and boot media, and to manage the certificates used by ISV proxy management points.
  • Client Agents Properties
    Configures which Configuration Manager 2007 components are enabled on client computers and how the components are configured.
  • Client Push Installation Properties
    Configures how Configuration Manager 2007 will push the client components to computers in the site (for example, which types of computers to push to and which accounts to use).
  • Network Discovery Properties
    Configures options for discovering network resources using Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), subnets, and domains.
  • Site Properties
    Configures settings that affect the entire site, such as the site mode and the ports used to communicate with client computers.
  • Site System Status Summarizer Properties
    Configures how Configuration Manager 2007 sends site system status messages to the parent site (for example, which type and priority of message to replicate).
  • ConfigMgr Component Server Properties
    Serves as a placeholder for all site systems hosting the ConfigMgr Executive service. Configuration Manager 2007 performs all configuration for this site role, including removal. There are no configurable settings in this dialog box.
  • ConfigMgr Device Management Point Properties: General Tab
    Serves as a placeholder for all management points configured to support device clients. There are no configurable settings in this dialog box. This site role is managed from the ConfigMgr Management Point Properties: General Tab.
  • ConfigMgr PXE Service Point Properties
    Configures properties for the Configuration Manager 2007 servers hosting boot images and responding to PXE requests from Configuration Manager 2007 client computers.
  • ConfigMgr Site Server Properties: General Tab
    Serves as a placeholder for the computer hosting the Configuration Manager 2007 site server role. There are no configurable settings in this dialog box. The only way to remove this role is to run Setup and uninstall the site.
  • ConfigMgr Site Database Server Properties: General Tab
    Serves as a placeholder for the computer hosting the Configuration Manager 2007 site database. There are no configurable settings in this dialog box. The only way to remove this role is to move the site database to a different server.
  • State Migration Point Properties: General Tab
    Configures properties for the Configuration Manager 2007 servers storing client computer configuration information when using operating system deployment to migrate a user profile to a new computer.
  • Status Filter Rules Properties
    Configures rules for which Configuration Manager 2007 status messages Configuration Manager 2007 keeps, discards, forwards, or takes any other action on.
  • Status Threshold Properties: General Tab
    Specifies how many messages of the specified type cause Configuration Manager 2007 to generate a warning message and how many total messages cause Configuration Manager 2007 to generate a critical message.
