The address rate limits properties are used to configure the communications network load between sites by day, time, and priority of data to be transferred. You can specify more than one time period to schedule for varying priorities of data to be sent using this page of the wizard.
By default, new sender addresses are open for all priorities of traffic between sites seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
- Day time picker control
Use this control to select an inclusive day and time period to control network load for the sender address.
- Scheduled availability for selected time period
Displays the day and time period selected for scheduling sender address communications. For example, Monday through Friday, 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. The selected time is evaluated at the server that is sending data, and not for the destination server.
Use this control to select a scheduling availability for sender address communications based on the priority of data being sent. The following options are available:
Open for all priorities
Allow medium and high priority
Allow high priority only
- Unavailable to substitute for inoperative addresses
Use this control to enable the site to use this address as a substitute if another address to the destination site fails. To prevent this address from being used as a substitute during the selected time period, select Unavailable to substitute for inoperative addresses.
