Applies To: System Center Configuration Manager 2007, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP1, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2
Use the Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Export Object Wizard to export the following object types:
Collections, packages, and site settings can also be transferred or exported using the Transfer Site Settings Wizard.
To export the objects, you must have Read rights for each object you want to export.
The objects you can export vary depending on where you started the wizard. For example, if you right-click Collections and then click Export Objects, you can select any collection to export, but if you right-click a collection name, you can select only that object to export.
The Managed Object Format (MOF) file created by the wizard is a text file. You must specify a path and a .mof extension for the file name.
Save the text file in a secure location to prevent information disclosure and tampering with the file.
The text file can be imported to a site using the Import Object Wizard.
