DPM Server Role

DPM is designed to run on a dedicated, single-purpose server. The server must not be a domain controller or application server. The DPM server must not serve as a Management Server for Microsoft® Operations Manager (MOM); you can, however, monitor the DPM server and the file servers that it protects in MOM.
