Installing the DPM System Recovery Tool

Launch the Installation Wizard on a computer that meets the minimum system requirements. DPM System Recovery Tool setup will install the Schedule Console and the Recovery Center.

The Schedule Console defines recovery sets, creates backup schedules and adds computers to those backup schedules. Recovery Center performs restoration of the client computer.

Creating the DPM System Recovery Tool Boot Client

If your client systems contain storage adapters or network controllers without native support by the Boot Client environment, then you can add OEM drivers to a custom Boot Client image. Create the Boot Client by Launching the DPM System Recovery Tool Boot Client Wizard. The wizard will walk you through the process of creating the Boot Client CD.

Using the Schedule Console to Create Recovery Point Schedules

From the Schedule Console computer, launch the New Schedule Wizard. The New Schedule Wizard will guide you through the process of creating Recovery Point schedules for your systems.

Using the Recovery Center to Roll Back Computers to a Previous State

To roll back computers to a previous state

  1. Launch the Recovery Center.

  2. In the Computer Selection pane, select a computer or group of computers.

  3. Launch the Rollback Wizard to roll back the selected computers to a previous state.
