How to Obtain the Report Definition Language File for an SCRM Report

You can use the SCRM 2006 Report Manager to get the Report Definition Language .rdl file for the Add or Remove Programs Inventory Summary report used in How to Switch the Filter Order of an SCRM Report and other tasks. You use similar steps to get other SCRM 2006 Report Definition Language files.

To obtain the Report Definition Language file for an SCRM report

  1. Using a supported browser, enter the URL of the SCRM 2006 report server—for example, http://<Webservername>/reports.

  2. Click Microsoft System Center Reporting to browse the SCRM 2006 reports.

  3. Click Show Details.

  4. To edit the desired report, click SMS Reports, click Hardware Inventory, and then click the edit icon for Add or Remove Programs Inventory Summary.

  5. To edit the Report Definition Language, click Edit in the Report Definition section. The File Download dialog box displays.

  6. Click Save to display the Save As dialog box.

  7. Choose a location to save the Report Definition Language file to, and then click Save.
