Sending report e-mail

Applies To: Forefront Client Security

You can configure the Client Security reporting server to send reports by e-mail. It is a recommended best practice to do so for key reports, such as the Security Summary report; however, you should use e-mail reports for any report that you find useful to receive on a regular basis.

To provide e-mail reports, Client Security uses the subscription feature included in SQL Server Reporting Services. E-mail delivery of reports requires that a Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) server is available to support the Client Security reporting server.
