Allowing Bluetooth Profiles

2/9/2009

You use the Allowed Bluetooth profiles Group Policy setting to specify the Bluetooth profiles that a user can access on a managed Windows Mobile device. When you enable this policy setting, only the selected profiles in the Allowed Bluetooth profiles list are available for use on the device. Unselected profiles will be disabled.

The default setting is Not Configured. When you change this setting, any targeted managed devices will restart after the change is applied.

To allow Bluetooth profiles

  1. In the Group Policy Management Console, expand Group Policy Objects, and then locate the target Group Policy object (GPO).

  2. Right-click the GPO, and then select Edit.

  3. In the Group Policy Object Editor dialog box, expand Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Mobile Settings, then select Platform Lockdown.

  4. In the details pane, right-click Allowed Bluetooth profiles, and then select Properties.

  5. In the dialog box, on the Setting tab, choose Enabled.

  6. Select the Bluetooth profiles that you want to be available for use on the device.

  7. Choose OK to finish the procedure and close the program.
