Before deploying Microsoft Forefront Endpoint Protection, you should read the documentation carefully and plan your deployment according to your business needs. If planned correctly, Forefront Endpoint Protection can reduce your administrative overhead and total cost of ownership. If Forefront Endpoint Protection is deployed without sufficient planning you can disrupt your whole network, because Forefront Endpoint Protection has the potential to affect every computer in your organization.

Because Forefront Endpoint Protection is built on System Center Configuration Manager, you should be familiar with Configuration Manager before you deploy Forefront Endpoint Protection. If you are new to Forefront Endpoint Protection, you should experiment in a test network environment before you deploy the product.
