Re-install WinAutomation Services

In case the WinAutomation Server Service and WinAutomation Machine Agent Service have not been installed correctly, then either of the following two (2) options will re-install the Services:

Option 1

  1. Right click on the WinAutomation icon on the System Tray and Select "Exit WinAutomation".

  2. Then click here to download a Service Fix file.

  3. Right click on the executable file that has been downloaded and select "Run as Administrator". This executable file will re-install WinAutomation's services.

Once the executable is done, restart the machine and launch WinAutomation again.

Option 2

Run the CMD as administrator and execute the following commands:

  • if your system is 32-bit then execute:

"C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\InstallUtil.exe" "C:\Program Files\WinAutomation\WinAutomation.Server.exe"

and then

"C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\InstallUtil.exe" "C:\Program Files\WinAutomation\WinAutomation.MachineAgent.exe"

  • if your system is 64-bit then execute:

"C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\InstallUtil.exe" "C:\Program Files\WinAutomation\WinAutomation.Server.exe"

and then

"C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\InstallUtil.exe" "C:\Program Files\WinAutomation\WinAutomation.MachineAgent.exe"

The InstallUtil.exe will re-install the WinAutomation Services and the issue will be resolved.
