Delete tags

The Quick Tag Selector bar at the top of the editing window enables you to quickly delete a set of tags and the content of those tags, only the content of those tags, or only the set of tags.

To delete a set of tags or content between tags

  1. In Design view or Code view, in your web page, put your cursor in the tag you want to delete or in content of those tags.

  2. At the top of the document window, on the Quick Tag Selector bar, do one of the following:

    • To delete the start and end tag, but leave the content of those tags, point to the tag that you want, click the arrow next to that tag, and then select Remove Tag.

    • To delete the start and end tag and also the content of those tags, click the tag that you want to delete, and then press DELETE.

    • To delete the content of the tags, point to the tag that you want, click the arrow next to that tag, and select Select Tag Contents, and then press DELETE.

      Note

      If the Quick Tag Selector bar is not visible, on the View menu click Quick Tag Selector.
